No, Trump is not going to magically save himself from the NYC disgorgement judgment!
The Trump Titanic and all his Buddies are going down--a half a billion reason why
FIRST: I explain how and why Trump is toast in my latest video below! (forgive the occasional coughing; I'm still getting over a cold.):
Now, before we get started, I have to say something because it bears repeating:
Fani Willis is a grown-ass woman
I expect Trump’s side to give Fani grief about her relationship with Nathan Wade because they are using it to remove her from the GA RICO case, but some of our so-called allies are also tossing their negative two-cents in, and all I can say is stop the dumb.
Fani works hard; she is entitled to a relationship, so stuff the “Sure, it wasn’t unethical or illegal—but it was an unforced error…” BS.
Fuck you, it was an unforced error—
If it was not illegal or unethical, why was it an error? Oh, because she got her groove on—? Only dudes are entitled to that, I suppose.
Newsflash
If Fani were never to have a relationship because she is a DA and her job is dangerous and vital, she’d never have one. Trump is not the first dangerous case she prosecuted; it won’t be the last. Women don’t have to live like sexless saints to be able to have power or do essential jobs.
When our side contributes to the public lynching of Fani Willis and Nathan Wade for doing what she has every right to do, we fan the flame of our opponents. Liberals constantly give the other side the rope they need to hang us to seem fair to the outside world.
Just stop it.
No, Trump is not, as Bill Palmer says, getting away with it all!
I swear to god, Liberals, Progressives, and Democrats don’t know how to win!
Trump is on the hook for half a billion dollars in settlements, disgorgement fees, interest and related taxes— he is also on track for his first criminal trial, the RNC is going broke, the Republican impeachment case against Biden fell apart like a wet sack!
Are we celebrating? Nooooo. We are wailing, freaking out, and some of us are claiming none of this hurts Trump.
For instance, when I point out Trump has hardly raised tens of millions on the lame-ass GoFundMe some MAGA idiot started on his behalf, people focus on the fact he made a handful of money that won’t even help him—at this moment in time, his GFM is at about $120, 000 bucks.
If he gets to $10 million by the tail end, I’d be shocked.
It is to be expected that Rump would raise some money.
He has a nationwide, dedicated cult, and they are driven by their hatred of Other to keep supporting him.
But the fact that Trump’s GFM is not already at two million or three million dollars by now says a lot. Donnie used to be able to raise that much in hours. By the time his criminal trials start gaining steam, he will hardly be near what he needs to pay off what he owes to E. Jean Carroll, let alone the state of New York.
Add to this the fact that even if he had to capital to equal the amount of the disgorgement penalty ( he has to put his payment into escrow prior to an appeal), every delay creates an accrual of interest on the judgment at a rate of about 9% —he’d literally be adding more money to the state by chasing an appeal, which could last for years.
Some of the money on his GoFundMe is from Liberals, not MAGA
The man is being trolled on his GoFundMe fundraiser, and it is delicious. Substack users shared these wonderful shots, and I am loving it—LOL!!!
Also, remember, you cannot use GoFundMe to raise money for fees related to guilty convictions and related settlement payments. I have already complained about the fundraiser to GFM, fat lot of good it might do.
All said and done, Trump won’t have anywhere to turn in the end.
The appeal will COST Trump money — per CNN
Former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants will likely need to come up with the full judgment of $355 million ordered by Judge Arthur Engoron Friday, with potentially more in interest, in order to move forward with an appeal, sources familiar with the matter have confirmed to CNN.
Those sources explained that this is the typical procedure required by the law, though some of the details, including the total amount to be frozen, could change.
Trump and his lawyers said Friday they intend to appeal the decision.
That money will be held in an account pending the appellate process, which could take years to litigate.
The 9% interest Judge Engoron ordered Trump and his company to pay on the nearly $355 million judgment will continue to accrue until it’s paid per the order.
Typically, the state requires a notice of appeal within 30 days of the judgment.
The RNC and Trump’s SuperPACS are BROKE!
That brilliant plan to use campaign funds to help a brother out? Ain’t happening.
First of all, it is illegal to use campaign funds for personal use. Secondly, Drumpf has already squeezed his PACS dry, which is why the Orange Leech is trying to attach his suction cups to the RNC.
Daughter-in-law Laura Trump may also try to help him with the entire RNC takeover endeavor—good luck with that!
Former President Donald Trump‘s proposed changes to install three allies into leadership roles at the Republican National Committee has led to some consternation that the organization will become a front to pay off Trump’s extensive legal fees.
The former president endorsed North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley to replace Ronna McDaniel as chair of the RNC.He also tapped two members of his inner circle into high-level RNC roles: daughter-in-law Lara Trump, his as RNC co-chairwoman and co-campaign manager Chris LaCivita for committee chief operating officer.
While some committee members are unconcerned by the criticism that Trump could entice the RNC to cover his legal fees, other Republicans stressed that the changes do little to tamp down fears that the RNC is a Trump Organization by another name that could distract from the GOP taking back control of the White House and Congress from Democrats in November. — The Washington Examiner
That is right, folks; Trump’s attempt to use the RNC as his personal piggy bank is gonna cause an extinction-level event for Republicans as the election heats up
World’s tiniest violin playing for a party that deserves to go the way of the Whigs.
Lastly, a word from Bill Palmer
I used to get annoyed when Bill Palmer would write: “Trump doesn’t have a magic wand.” It felt like he was talking down to and chastizing his readers, but the man was right—the only power Trump and his cabal have is what we give them.
As per Palmer's Report:
Donald Trump lost $364 million today to the state of New York, which has since turned out to be $453 million with interest. Trump also recently lost $83 million to E. Jean Carroll. That’s a combined $536 million, more than a half a billion dollars.
Now we’re suddenly hearing all kinds of tall tales on social media about how Trump is going to be able to come up with the money, pay the penalties, and keep his financial house of cards intact. But these storylines are all kind of chuckle-worthy.
For starters, while Trump recently claimed that he had about $400 million cash on hand, this is a guy who constantly lies – especially about his finances. So any news outlets printing that $400 million number today, as if it were a reliable figure, are being complicit. People who are deeply in debt tend to have very little cash on hand, because everything that comes in the door goes right back out each month to make the minimum payments on that debt.
There is also a narrative today that Trump’s base is going to be able to crowdfund enough money to pay off these penalties for him. But that’s also laughable. In the entire election cycle, Trump’s base hasn’t donated enough money to pay off more than a fraction of what these two judgments add up to. And again, the donations Trump has already received throughout his campaign are likely already gone, as tends to happen when you’re in debt (and when you have tens of millions of dollars in legal bills). If Trump owed $10 million, maybe his base could come up with it. But he owes fifty times that much. It’s just not realistic at these dollar amounts.
Finally, someone leaked to the media this evening that Trump is about to make up to $4 billion in a Truth Social merger. This might be the most laughable storyline of all. Does anyone really think that a niche social platform is worth that much? By the way, Truth Social’s parent company is reportedly under criminal investigation for alleged financial fraud. And given the timing, you have to ask yourself just who it is that’s telling the media tonight that Trump is about to become magically rich, hours after Trump just became very poor. — Bill Palmer
So yeah—stop listening to mainstream media and pundit hype.
Trump’s goose is cooked, and he may even be headed for jail. If we keep that in mind, we can drown out all the psyop noise and keep our eyes on the prize—a mega win coming in Nov 2024.
Blue Tsunami, baby!
Joe Biden vs. No One! Media will still make it into a horse race.
It’s all great…but I want him frog marched in chains to an awaiting paddy wagon.
