The start of a mission for the West
How we prevent the West from dying or; is it already dead?
What happened in 1971? There’s a whole ass website answering that question. This data gets cited when people want to claim that the West is dying. In terms of influence, this has certainly dwindled since the hey-day post WWII and after the Cold War.
In reality, the West has filled the “market” with democracy by shoving it down people’s throats through its forever wars, and are now seeing pushback. History rhymes. A worthy competitor in China has birthed and presented an alternative vision of the future that compels people. As a result, we live in an era of relative tumult, but it’s not as bad as it could be (yet). Not saying it will get worse, but I think we need a much more concerted effort to ensure it doesn’t, and I am also not saying the West was wrong.
I believe the West is becoming desperate to a point which will prevent the true demolition of the Western (American) paradigm. Looking back at history can provide some illustration of how things to be avoided. Edward Gibbon wrote his book series about the ascension and decline of the Roman Empire and mentioned the following 5 factors that led to it’s decline:
Concern with displaying affluence instead of building wealth
Obsession with sex and the perversions of sex
Art becoming freakish/sensationalist instead of creative/original
Widening gap between rich and poor
Increased demand to live off the state
All of these factors are present today, but if we push hard enough against them, they can be reversed.
More specifics soon!
Considering those factors are correct, east is in the best position to win.
