Carla Ramirez works with third through fifth graders at Northstar Elementary who sometimes have difficulties with social interactions. I asked her how she approaches her day and about different aspects of her job. She has been in education for 30 years and brings lots of experience to her interactions with kids. She says:
The biggest thing I do is build relationships with the kids because if you don't have a relationship with them, you don't have anything. So they won't respect you or listen to you or come to you when they're upset if they don't have that relationship and each kid is a little different.
She tells me what she loves about her job, including the kids and the other staff she works with. Here is our full interview.

Cohen, Harper, and Andi (sorry if I misheard the spelling!) are three very wise second graders at West Elementary. They tell me what their favorite subjects in school are, what they like to do on the playground, and share some advice on how to be successful in school.
