After about a month apart, Candy decided to stay the weekend with her boyfriend Joe at the Casa Grande Hotel. She had never been to the ocean before and was excited to see it and him. She arrived at the hotel Friday evening and was greeted with Joe’s open arms.
“I’m so happy that you came, I’ve missed you,” Joe embraced Candy.
“I’ve missed you too,” Candy planted a long kiss on his lips.
“Please come in and see my hotel,” Joe grabbed Candy’s suitcase in one hand and her hand with his other.
Joe recently inherited his father’s hotel and had been busy keeping it running. Candy still has half a year of college to finish out of state before she will move in with him. But this weekend turned out to be a three day weekend for Candy so she felt that it would be a great time to get away from school.
“I can’t wait for you to see where we will live together,” Joe said as they walked through the two automatic sliding doors.
Candy’s mouth dropped open when she saw the beautiful and enormous lobby. Six huge sparkling chandeliers' hung from the high ceiling and red and gold coloring flowed from the floor to the walls.
“This is beautiful,” she said.
“Thank you. My Papa took great pride in this hotel.”
“I’ve never stayed at a place so luxurious before,” Candy said as she admired the large leopard statue they walked past.
Joe guided his future wife to the elevator and passed a few guests on the way. He spoke a few words to them in Spanish and they all smiled and nodded. The people there seemed to love Joe and his friendly demeanor. After all, that was the first thing that Candy found attractive when she met him a year ago.
As Joe and Candy road the elevator to the fourth and final floor, they made up for some lost time. Joe turned to Candy and pulled her close. He then gently and slowly kissed Candy’s neck three times which made her melt in his arms. Slowly he moved up to her chin and kissed it as well. Before the elevator door bell chimed, Joe cupped Candy’s face with his hands and softly kissed her glossy pink lips for about a minute. Candy stared into Joe’s brown eyes as he backed away.
“Boy, have I missed you,” Candy smiled.
Joe smiled back at her, “there is still more to come.”
