The Power Of Belief
I’m not going to comment on the results of the midterm election except to say that the anticipated “Red Wave” never happened. My last article covered my thoughts on elections and government.
What I marvel at is the power John D. Rockefeller is still wielding over the mind of man today. One man changed the very nature of our understanding of what causes disease from disparate, and many times unknown, origins to a single theory of why we get sick: germ theory. It’s a feat that cannot be understated. What we got from his efforts is the easy and widely accepted belief that there are little germs running around out there that have it in for us. There is no need to look further. You’ve got a bug. There, fixed it for you. Here, take this pill, you’ll feel better.
The problem with this and pretty much everything else calling itself science these days is that the proposition that germs cause disease and they can be spread around like manure on the back forty has never been proven. Contagion is a wily thing. How, exactly, can one prove that an invisible germ jumped from Sally to John and caused John to get sick? We can only presume from observation. It’s pure speculation. Well, it is argued, John has evidence of a thing we call a virus when he didn’t before. Are we sure about that? Since there no test that can definitively confirm the presence of this little monster except to indicate the presence of bits of DNA that are similar, or even the same as what Sally has coursing through her veins, how can anyone say for sure that some virus caused John’s illness? Especially when no one has actually seen a virus?
As it turns out, virology is pure speculation: http://www.whale.to/a/lanka_h.html
I can say with a high level of certainty that how you react to the above article is indicative of the level of programming you have allowed into your pointy head. The first reaction of some is to try to find an article that refutes the evidence presented by Lanka. You will find it, and you will give it a cursory reading and you will breath a sigh of relief that your belief system is in tact. Even though you probably didn’t understand a word of anything you read.
You may have run into to this article https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/covid-19-pseudoscience/psychiatrist-who-calmly-denies-reality claiming Dr. Andrew Kaufman is a quack. Claims like this are made:
The problem is that Koch himself realized that requiring his postulates to be fulfilled each and every time was mistaken. He noticed people who were carriers of typhoid fever and of cholera who did not have symptoms. They had the infectious agent but not the disease. Was it proof these microbes did not after all cause the disease? No. Koch’s postulates are historically interesting, but they have essentially been supplanted by guidelines based on the detection of DNA or RNA from the microbe itself.
Did you get that? “They had the infectious agent but not the disease.” How did they know they had an infectious agent if they had never used Koch’s postulates to confirm it? What these people are claiming is that they don’t have to isolate (there it is, see it?) a particle they claim is causing disease. They know he has an infectious agent but they have never actually seen it.
No. Koch’s postulates are historically interesting, but they have essentially been supplanted by guidelines based on the detection of DNA or RNA from the microbe itself.
See what they did here? They are saying they know there is a virus because they have detected bits and pieces of RNA or DNA from a microbe they have never seen. How in the world can anyone claim that this or that piece of RNA or DNA came from a microbe if the microbe has never been isolated? Koch’s postulates are common sense. If you want to prove something causes disease you must first separate it from the stuff you are pretty sure doesn’t. Then you can say with certainty that A causes disease and B doesn’t. But, but, but, what about viruses that hide somewhere just waiting to cause illness, like shingles? Show me where they are hiding and prove it. The claim that something that is “not alive” is hiding somewhere is ludicrous. Well, what about carcinogens? They don’t always cause cancer right off the bat. Correct, and their presence can be proven using Koch’s postulates.
My guess is that for many this discussion is simply over their heads. It’s easier to believe something you heard on TV than it is to actually dig down and confirm what you believe one way or another.
Science has become little more than a celebrity endorsement for Dr. Wiley’s Cure All potion. It cures what ails you. Don’t ask what’s in there, you won’t know what it is anyway, just take it and tell your friends!
This belief in contagion is powerful because, ostensibly, it can be observed. What about Chicken Pox parties? The kids who went came down with the pox. Are you sure that a bug was passed around? Or, could it have been something else? No need to ask, the bug theory covers most of the bases. Could it have been a toxin present in the home of the party giver? Could it simply have been the right time for the child’s body to cleanse itself of the barrage of toxins to which he or she has been exposed and the presence of other bodies going through that cleanse is a sort of green light to those whose bodies were about to do that anyway? The native Americans believed that the childhood diseases occurred when the soul decided to stay. Thus, it was a reason to celebrate.
Can you say, for sure, that you know what is causing your illness, or are you relying on the opinion of someone else who is relying on the opinion of someone who claims to have proof? The fact is, the reason you believe what you believe about illness is the result of the greed of one man who was long gone before you were born. Does that anger you? It should. You’ve been sold a bill of goods. Did you even bother to ask a few questions?
Now, I know we can’t possibly be an expert at everything. We must rely on the those who claim to know more than we do about these things. Life would be an endless act of pointless data collection if we didn’t have someone to interpret the data for us. We just don’t have time for that. But, when a belief system is used to strip our autonomy and freedom by governments and health authorities you had damn well better start asking questions.
Did you ever wonder why before this pandemic nonsense the flu or the common cold, or any other seasonal illness, were considered part of life to be endured? It’ll be over in a couple of weeks and you feel fine. Since when did getting sick mean certain death? Who told you that and what were their motives? Did you ask? How is it that you did an about face on something you knew to be true? Are you so gullible to believe everything you see on TV? They don’t call it programming for nothing.
I marvel at how quickly and easily we are willing to jump on the bandwagon, any bandwagon, just because everyone else is. One would have thought that the Red Wave was a certainty given the policies of the Democratic party and their obvious attempts to destroy all that you believe in and hold dear. Those policies caused untold harm. They were based on solutions that were known to be ineffective long ago. Stuff like social distancing and the wearing of masks. It is KNOWN these measures are pure window dressing, that they do not prevent people from getting sick. And, even if you do get sick, so what? You’ll survive, some won’t. So, what else is new? But, yet, you don your mask and distance yourself from others as “a precaution.” A precaution against what, something that is as natural as taking a dump? Yes, there are things you can do to lesson the severity of illness, stuff like diet and exercise, but you will get sick.
Some claim they’ve never been sick a day in their lives. They are lying, not only to you, but, to themselves. They were simply able to get through it without having to retire to the sick bed. A few sniffles, that’s all. Could have been pollen. Could have been a lot of things.
As a result of these midterm elections we know that about half the “country” wants tyranny. They live their lives in fear everyday. They want someone to fix things. They want to be ruled. They want you to be ruled because, to them, you represent a threat to their fear. It’s hard to live in fear when there are people out there who are not. Why aren’t they afraid? Should I be afraid? You can see what this leads to in the minds of the ones causing the fear-loss of control.
Have you noticed that people who are trying to present the truth as they know it are censored, mocked and ridiculed by the fear mongers? Does that raise a red flag or are you willing to go along with the fear porn? Shouldn’t you at least give them a chance to present their views? Or, would that present too much of a challenge to your beliefs? What does it say about the fear mongers when they prevent you from hearing different views? Do you celebrate censorship? Did you celebrate censorship before this hoax? Was there ever a time when you considered censorship an evil to be challenged? Why are you going along with it now? What happened to you? When did you become such a coward?
I wonder if John D. understood the power of what he unleashed. But, I’ll bet you dollars to donuts he knew there was a sucker born everyday. If nothing else, think of the money involved. The entire modern medical edifice rest on the foundation of a lie. That lie is germ theory. And billions in loot depend upon it. Yes, you could say that bacteria cause disease. But, is that true? Or is a matter of how you look at it. If you have a female dog you know that if she pees in the same spot on the lawn that the grass will die. Did the dog cause the grass to die or was it the urine? Obviously, it’s the urine. If she did not pee the same place every time the grass would still be green. There are a gozillion bacteria in our bodies and the environment, but only a few emit toxins that can make us ill or worse. And, it isn’t just an individual bacteria that causes damage. It’s the presence of many of them, all shitting out toxins that can be trouble. But, what if the body were able to keep those numbers down? Could we say that this or that bacteria definitely causes disease or would we have to admit that it’s not the dog, it’s the urine? Environmental scientists are fond of saying “the solution to pollution is dilution.” And how right they are. That’s why antibiotics work; they reduce the numbers of toxin emitting bacteria to a level that the body can deal with them. I don’t buy the idea that a vaccine can train the body to recognize certain bacteria and get a jump on them every time. Some times the body is overwhelmed even if it recognizes what’s attacking it.
Vaccines are the inevitable result of germ theory. They are based on a flawed understanding of what make us sick and they are purely profit driven. I don’t believe any vaccine can prevent illness. I think they are all fraud. There are many reasons why I take this position. All I can do is to present my position, you’ll have to do the work yourself. But, how can you know there are other opinions if the fear mongers prevent you from hearing them? How can you claim to be able to make informed decisions if you don’t, or won’t, check out dissenting points of view? You can’t.
“The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” Winston Churchill.
The problem we face these days is the perfection (well, nothing’s perfect) of propaganda. The fear mongers know what makes you tick and they know what buttons to push. I once had a conversation with a dear friend about this virus nonsense and she immediately put her hands over her ears and ran around yelling “This is disinformation!” like a child who has just been told there is no Easter bunny. Who told her that what I was saying was disinformation? Who made that call? Of course, it was the bobble heads on TV and she believed them. The propagandists know that if you use certain words you can stop rational thought. Terms like “conspiracy theory,” or “mis” or “dis” information. Those terms are never defined and most people accept them as if they actually mean something. So, everyone is running around thoroughly confused about most things. This has been done on purpose. What better way to impose your solution than to confuse everyone about what the problem is.
A surefire way to combat propaganda is to listen to that little voice that is telling you that what you are hearing or doing is wrong. But, that little voice is often drowned out by the din of the media. That’s why it’s so important to get away from it now and then. You know what to do, so do it. Solitude and nature can give you discernment, but only if you let it. But, the first thing you have to do is to admit to yourself that there are people out there who would do you harm for their own profit. You have to decide what you want, comfort or the truth. Sadly, most choose the former.
So, here’s to John D. Rockefeller, progenitor of many of our modern ills.
“Afterall, He Who Must Not be Named did great things. Terrible, yes, but great.” Ollivander.
