Hey all! If you’re reading this you’re a subscriber — thanks for subscribing, it helps me keep writing regularly!
However, today’s article is not a normal one.
Since I was in about the 6th grade, a health problem has been nagging away at me, and as it turns out the time has come to fix it with surgery. Unfortunately, it’s going to possibly mean a break in my regular posts to Substack (not to mention YouTube which isn’t written word but, y’know my face!), so as a subscriber I wanted to give you a heads up.
Of course, returning from surgery, I’ll have to break my rule of avoiding personal vehicle use — but, there’s always those oddball journeys. The transportation system is just that a system, and roads play a key role for goods movement, emergency vehicles, utilities, and yes, private auto journeys that can’t easily be replaced by transit. By making transit, cycling, and walking better, we can reduce the amount of nonessential private car trips and that’s always going to be a big win.
Thanks for your continued support, and I can’t wait to be back.
