S&P 500 Blow-Off Top Prediction & Investment Strategies for 2024
Preface
As of March 21th, 2024, I find the S&P 500 at a critical juncture, echoing some aspects of the challenging period of the 1970s. During the stagflation era, particularly between 1973 and 1974, the index endured a significant downturn, plummeting approximately 48% in response to an oil crisis and economic stagnation. Fast forwarding to the present, similar patterns are emerging.
With inflation and oil on the rise as well as bearish trends evident in key fundamental indicators such as industrial output and the ISM Manufacturing PMI, there's mounting concern that we might be on the cusp of a new phase of economic difficulties.
In my 2024 S&P 500 report, I’ve combined technical chart analysis with the potential for real-world events to influence the market. I used methods like Fibonacci sequences, trend lines, and moving averages to forecast possible highs and lows for the year. These aren’t just numbers; they’re indicators that set the stage for how major news might affect the market.
My report covers everything from peak price predictions and their expected timing, to various levels of market downturns. This approach is designed to give you insight into how upcoming news could sway the market, preparing you for what 2024 has in store and might come in 2025.
