So sorry to hear of your experience but pleased that you finally got seen to and your elbow fixed. My mam worked for the NHS all her life and in the years up to her retirement in 2020 she despaired at the sheer waste of money and resource within the system. I dont know if it will ever be fixed? I have no confidence on any government to put things straight.
My dad fell down the stairs in August 2022 and broke his shoulder. Sadly he is still waiting for the operation to fix it! He is in constant pain and barely sleeps. I took him for his Pre-Op just before Easter and he was so excited thinking the op would be any day. No such luck! Why waste money on Pre-Ops when there is no operation date set? He called the hospital in August to enquire about a possible date and he was told his Pre-Op time had expired and he wouldn't be considered for a list until he had a new up to date Pre-Op! He is still waiting for a new date....He has lost all faith and believes he will just live with a broken shoulder now forever. It really is disgraceful.
