I used to be fast.
I mean, like, real fast.
Used to be, I could pencil (and often ink) around fifteen comic book pages in a single week. Sometimes more. When I first started out in 2018, what seemed to impress my clients and collaborators more than the overall quality of my work—which is fair to middlin, in my opinion—was how quickly I could turn around with finished pages.
But, then something happened.
Like so many out there, I would love to blame COVID for the whole thing. After all, what singular event in the past half century, apart from maybe 9-11, has had such a profound, all encompassing impact on our daily lives than that little sombitch virus that descended upon our reality and sent everything to shit in the early months of 2020?
