Attention writers!
From October 25-27 I’ll be at Writing to Be Read: A Retreat for Writing in Community. Won’t you join me?
I’m teaming up with a slew of professional writers, conducting workshops, reviewing your work, and lighting a fire under all attendees to write like the wind, get projects finished, and bedazzle readers.
Among the other professional writers will be bestselling writer and cartoonist David Milgrim, HuffPost essayist and trauma-informed writing coach Lisa Cooper Ellison, Emmy winner T. Kent Jones, the editors of MuddyUm (the top humor publication on Medium), and Tony Stubblebine, the CEO of Medium. It’s all put on by the delightful Susan Brearley, a former student of my Comedy Business School course.
I’ll help you hands-on with your sketch, essay, article, script, comic strip, TV pilot—whatever you’re working on. We’ll have loads of fun.
It takes place in quaint and beautiful upstate New York. Rhinebeck, NY, to be exact, a magical place of gorgeous fall colors and crisp air.
This will be the first year of the retreat. They attempted to put this together last year, but the stars didn’t align. Now it’s really happening, and I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
I'll be there Scott! Looking forward to connecting in-person : )
Wow, I would love that! And it's (in my opinion) very affordable. What if I'm in the very early stages of writing? Is it still a good fit?
