In July 2023, an interesting video conference hosted by Denso and Symbiosys Alliance unveiled pivotal insights regarding the ongoing development of Bluetooth Channel Sounding (Bluetooth HADM).

Anticipated for adoption in the 6.0 specification by 2024 (currently in draft version 5.4 as of December 2023), Bluetooth Channel Sounding marks a significant advancement in Bluetooth technology.

Following the release of the Bluetooth CS specification, collaborations have commenced with the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) to deliberate the integration of Bluetooth CS into their initiatives.

The release of Bluetooth CS specifications also paves the way for universities and researchers to delve into investigating security protocols and properties aligned with Bluetooth CS.

While CCC has currently supported the UWB+BLE+NFC standard in their digital key release 3.0, the upcoming CCC paper update may reveal insights into the potential integration of Bluetooth Channel Sounding. This integration would potentially determine how Bluetooth CS competes or coexists with UWB technology.
