Welcome to the Garden, my friend!
The Garden (which has an energy all its own) intends to be a refuge for human souls feeling battered by life's experiences. It is a space where you can rest and recharge for a while, gathering tools, techniques, and strategies for living more peacefully, abundantly, and joyfully throughout this human experience.
I’m honored and grateful you are here! And if you resonate with the work I do here, I invite you to become a subscriber. Either way, I’m glad you are here!
Hello, again, my dear friend! How are you on this fine Satur-YAY?
I'm still here making my way through the alphabet as part of April's A-to-Z Blogging Challenge.
Today, we're tackling the letter "l" for "LOVE."
Recently, I mentioned that this is one of my top three Core Values, and it really is!
I truly believe that - in our innate state of being - each of us is a radiant expression of divine love.
This is something that I delved into a bit for the letter "d" (Divine Aspects), and it's a "drum" I will continue to "beat."
At the heart of all creation is a boundless and infinite energy. Some call it "God/dess." Others call it "Source," "Spirit," or just "the Universe." No matter what name resonates with your soul, at its core, this energy is pure, unconditional love.
Each of us carries a piece of this cosmic love within us! Our spirits are divine sparks that reside at the core of our being.
These sparks ARE the essence of who we are, the source of our inner light, and the guiding force that leads us back to our true selves.
What does it mean to be an expression of the universal energy of love?
While there are stories based on our religions about those who have expressed this type of love, it's sometimes difficult to know how to apply those examples to modern-day situations.
The most significant piece of the puzzle is to recognize that love isn't as much of an adjective as it is a noun.
It means recognizing that love is not just something that we receive from the outside world. Rather, it is something that we ARE.
It is the very fabric of our being and the purpose of our journey here on Earth.
When we begin to see ourselves and others through the eyes of love - with compassion, kindness, and understanding, we recognize that beneath the surface differences of race, religion, and culture, we are ALL interconnected - united by a common thread that is love.
Will we always - actively and consistently - express this part of us in our day-to-day world?
Most likely, no, and this is to be expected! After all, as long as we occupy our little part of the world, we're still human with all the foibles that accompany it.
Our ego-minds will continue to get in the way like the moon eclipses the sun.
But just like the sun, no matter how "human" we act in any given moment, that spark—that fragment—is always there, burning as bright as ever.
When we are living from this place of love, though, we are more able to embrace our inherent worthiness. We realize that we are MORE than "enough," and deserving of love - not because of anything we do or achieve but simply because we EXIST!
It means that we are honoring the divine within ourselves and others and treating each being with the respect, dignity, and reverence they deserve as sacred expressions of the Divine.
The next question we may ask is, "How do I tap into this reservoir of love that lies within me?"
It starts with cultivating practices that nourish our souls and awaken us to the truth of who we are.
We can do this through meditation, prayer, yoga, spending time in nature, or chatting with Spirit.
All of these practices help us connect with the deeper dimensions of our being and access the infinite wellspring of love that resides within each and every one of us.
As we awaken to the truth of our divine nature, we begin to radiate love out into the world. We touch the lives of those around us with our presence, our words, and our actions.
In doing so, we become co-creators of a more loving and compassionate world - a world where all beings are seen, valued, and cherished as the beings of light and love they inherently are.
I hope you found this informational and inspirational, my friend.
I would love to hear how you are allowing your inner light of LOVE to express itself in the world around you.
Until next time, may you have a wonderful rest of your weekend, and I look forward to connecting with you again, bright and early Monday morning.
Sending you SO much love, light, and BIG squishy hugs,
