Rightful Priorities
I started this week on a high note, and by high, I mean in a high of pain. And because pain puts us in a reflective mood, we have a story.
I landed in the hospital, yes, but that’s not the point. What mattered (after) was introspecting and coming to the conclusion that I may have elevated some things to a level beyond where they were supposed to be. For me, it’s work. To be clear, my work had nothing to do with my stay at the hospital but I was pensive, so let’s move on, shall we?
pensive: engaged in, involving, or reflecting deep or serious thought.
You see, I believe in great, conscientious work— great as Paul Graham would define it—but there is a burden that comes with it. A burden likely to lead to unhealthy, possibly fatal mindsets like work-life balance is for the lazy, the top executives, or the unambitious. I opine that any belief closely related to that is wrong, judging, and even points to work trauma.
To put work at the right place and thrive even more in other aspects I deem valuable, I sure have stuff to unlearn and relearn. It’s a progressing journey. :)
On a different note, do not, I repeat, do not take a tablet (drug) before eating. Do absolutely not!
Stay safe and stay healthy all around,
Dayo :)
I posted twice in a row! So, read TMP #84 here.

I now have even more books in my library lmao. But, I am still reading A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller.

Something I enjoyed last week:

The new Santiago Bernabéu is beautiful.
I love how you incorporate art into your work. Whether it’s a painting or a song, it’s usually so beautiful 🤩.
Know that, I usually gain quite a lot from your posts. Please don’t stop. You’ll definitely make somebody’s day one day, and impart on them positively ❤️.
I was able to learn that one shouldn’t overthink the problem. Instead look at a possible solution and not escalate the mild issue.
