Threesomes, Making a Fantasy Real
Sol takes a look at making the shift from threesome fantasy to threesome reality
When it comes to sexual fantasies, it seems three is a magic number. According to research conducted by the Kinsey Institute for the book Tell Me What You Want, 95% of men and 87% of women have fantasized about having sex with multiple partners. This academic study, using a representative sample of the adult US population found that 10% of women and 18% of men had engaged in threesomes. It found more people fantasized about threesomes than had participated, although the figures weren’t quite as high as those of the Kinsey Institute research.
As someone who’s participated in multiple threesomes, I can say they are both amazing and stressful, erotic and challenging, but on balance they were rewarding experiences for everyone involved because we approached them with more care and preparation than one might approach a conventional relationship. Over the course of three features, I’m going to share my thoughts on positives and pitfalls, plus tips for anyone who wants to try to make their threesome the best experience it can be.
