febrile (adjective) - characterised by a great deal of nervous excitement or energy
‘Throughout the fest, the febrile atmosphere inside the performer’s tent was palpable.’
mien (noun) - a person’s appearance or manner, especially as an indication of their character or mood
‘The stress of constant examinations had given her a worried and gloomy mien.’
prevaricate (verb) - speak or act in an evasive way
‘When I asked about the grading system for the project, the department started to prevaricate.’
munificence (noun) - the quality or action of being extremely generous
‘Their munificence made them an ideal candidate for conmen and scammers.’
