Using Triscribe charts - navigation toolkit
Triscribe is a complete view of hospital medicines usage. Our charts and tables come with toolkit to help find the information you need to save an hour every week.
This is the second in a series of posts covering the basics of Triscribe. Triscribe is a complete view of hospital medicines usage. Our software gives you better information about medicines in your hospital through a series of charts and tables.
Triscribe chart features
Our aim is to always to give you the information you and your team need to make your life easier. We want to save every user one hour every week. That means getting the right information faster. Information about the medicines given to patients in your hospital every day.
In this post, I will explain the tools and features you can use to navigate charts in Triscribe. All designed so that you can find the information you need quickly and easily. Much of this also applies to Triscribe tables. I will set out some other features that apply only to tables in the next post. You can also download our full features guide here or watch this short video to learn more.
Triscribe chart filters
You will find our most useful features using the Filters stack (No 1.) in the top right corner of every chart. This allows you to choose what the chart or table displays.
The specific filters vary by chart. They might include a range of dates, medicines or groups of medicines, wards, patient demographics and routes of administration. You can see the filters available for each chart in our full product guide.
Notice there is another stack bar top left of each screen. This allows you to set the time intervals - day/week/month. So if you shift from a full year view to a single month, you might reset the chart to show daily rather than monthly data points.
There are lots of other dynamic features on each chart. I have listed them below and you can download a handy guide to all chart features here.
Use cases
A few recent ways that users found to get to the information they need with Triscribe:
Adios generated a controlled drug alert based on stock of enoxaparin sent to a ward. Pharmacist called up Triscribe, which showed the level of enoxaparin given to patients on that ward. Confirmed stock issued aligned with patient needs in a couple of minutes.
Hospital introduced a policy to restrict initial prescriptions of antibiotics from 7 days to 5. A year later, the pharmacy team was not sure of the impact. Found comparative analysis of prescription lengths in a few minutes using Triscribe.
Paediatric microbiologist wanted to compare usage of medicines given on kids’ wards. DDDs analysis based on adult doses was not accurate enough. He showed us a spreadsheet developed in another hospital. We built the ability to analyse medicines usage per 100 bed days into our standard charts.
