US Censors Itself (but only when it tells the truth) – Thursday Throwdown
The place to get your exclusive dose of midweek media madness.
There are things the US government wants you to know.
For example, at least like three Iranian guys were rooting for the US to beat Iran in the World Cup because Iran bad America good. Or that business between Chevron and dictatorship-turned-friend Venezuela is to be celebrated now that we need oil. These things are good things and you should know these things.
There are also things the US government does not want you to know.
They don’t want you to know that 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have now been killed in the proxy war. And that only 30% of the weapons Western governments have sent actually go to the frontlines. They may say these things, but they quickly take them back. These things are bad things so they are not true anymore.
On this week’s Thursday Throwdown, we analyze when the US decides to censor itself, and the pattern emerges that it usually happens when they accidentally tell the truth.
It’s our Thursday mini-episode. Let us know in the comments what corporate media monologues, interviews, or anything else you want to see on the next Thursday Throwdown.
