Dear Honest Men and Bonnie Lassies,
Welcome to the accompanying VL Newsletter for Part 1 of the mini-series finale (8m 09s).
Please enjoy!
I liked this image about journeying from the Big Panda Tiny Dragon book which is full of wisdom and excellent art work, by James Norbury. Thanks to my Mum sharing the book.
[Pointy Pointy] Episode Commentary and Timestamps
(@13s) Some mini-series topics covered in brief and linked1.
(@1m 03s) the mentioned brief anecdote of why I chose to sing (with varying degrees of terribleness) and the Universe singing back2. TL;DR, Gerry Cinnamon was presented.
(@1m 38s) Part of the mission statement – that is:
“To facilitate causes to unite humanity and leave a safer, cleaner and epic heritage for the children and posterity.”
(@1m 55s) “nae toaty tatties” - Scots: not small potatoes.
(@2m 16s) To refine or dig into the purpose here, simply put:
“Under a banner of trust, commonality and inspirations will be celebrated, to unite humanity.”
In contemplating the notion of uniting humanity, I acknowledge that there will be a variety of reactions, some of which might be akin to surprise or skepticism (of the highest order). I (endeavour to) remain unattached to the desire for anything other than this moment. I envision a united humanity fostering a state of simply being, where desires, politics, and the thirst for power and prestige diminish, allowing more wisdom to permeate society on all levels. A little more on this will be forthcoming in subsequent parts of the mini-series finale and point number 7 below.
(@2m 30s) Anecdotes of when I said the words “unite humanity”, for the first time aloud recently3. Imagining and pitching your own idea of uniting humanity might just become the most genuine and remarkable conversation starter. And by sharing this “tactic,” we can spread respective ideas to progress with confidence, facilitate compatibility kindling’s and reflections on an idealised / realised journey, and present one’s intrigue (or lack of). This links to the point number 5 below too.
(@3m 20s) The target audience is intended to encompass everyone without any form of exclusion. This initiative is unequivocally open to all individuals, irrespective of circumstance, fully inclusive and all are invited to contribute their unique perspectives and energies. Boundaries are illusory tools for work.
That being said, some communities and individuals will likely have a more comprehensive understanding of some of the concepts and language. Remembering please that it is not exclusive, ideally those interested in partaking shall:
have a strong moral compass (if they have wider influence then that would be bonus magic);
be those who possess a drive to contribute to society's betterment for the sake of the children and posterity; and / or
be of the younger generations - relates to point number 4 above (for many reasons, but time may (just) be a factor 😉).
Just to stress again though - it is not exclusive.
(@3m 53s) “Our Shindig” genesis.4🕺
(@4m 35s) A list of (currently 42) Benefits of the Deep Trust Journey / Our Shindig / [Enter Your Own Name For It]. (N.B. Work is covered i.e. linked to a private Substack (e-mail address required), but all content shall remain free from Value Life’s perspective).
(@4m 54s) Apologies for the reduction in sound quality. My phone ran out of memory and I had to snaffle the wife’s device. Please adjust your lugs (Scots: ears). Note that an admin remark on craftsmanship has been on the cards since the outset.
(@5m 22s) Participating in Our Shindig and embracing a life in harmony with our inner truth and nature brings to mind the wisdom of Epicurus in The Tao of Seneca: Letters from a Stoic Master:
If you live according to nature, you will never be poor; if you live according to opinion, you’ll never be rich.
While these concepts offer valuable insights, it's important to acknowledge that they are, indeed, concepts. Our journey invites us to explore and find our own understanding, recognizing the balance between timeless wisdom and the unique path we each tread.
(@6m 33s) The deliberate use of the term “fertigate” holds purpose; it serves as a bridge to the forthcoming finale part(s?) where concepts are unveiled to celebrate individuals bound by commonality and build trustworthiness (please see potential benefits listed in point number 7 above). This emphasis amplifies the core of collective existence, anchored in the elemental fundamentals of life: light, water and food.
By partaking in the symbolic act of toasting to these fundamental elements (more on this upcoming)— the very cornerstone of existence — through fertigation, we nurture the seeds of unity, tending to the roots of our shared being, and honoring the foundational elements that sustain us all.
(@7m 33s) Just to clarify the encouragement to “sincerely… do what you like”, as per Mini-Episode 10, please endeavour to do so in “a relatively safe environment”. 😉
(@8m 07s) at the end, just “toaty tattie” (Scots: small potato) was stated this time, as with this wee project “culminating in whatever your imagination prefers” (mentioned @6m 02s), is uniting humanity small potatoes? I should hope and think so!
Toaty tattie could be our first symbol of trust backed by allegory (again I am unattached to this idea, but quite like the phrase’s implications and, why not?). This bouncy sounding alliteration uttered in lieu of the more daunting words of “unite humanity” (N.B. Work is covered i.e. linked to a private Substack (e-mail address required), but all content shall remain free from Value Life’s perspective) leads us into Part 2.
Thank you for your time and attention! This currency shall not be underappreciated.
Love
Value Life topics mentioned linked as follows:
British Empire (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4) - this focus was not to imply that I am not extremely grateful for the communication of security (linked to (apparent) freedom) across generations that I (and many) have benefitted from.
China (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3) - this focus on China was not to take away from the fact that trustworthiness remains a widespread issue within global governments, institutions and industries. The Panda is likely less of a threat (and maybe even more of a friend) than some other powers that be.
Some ideas mentioned and pondered throughout:
I was homesick and had the need to hear some Scottish accent in song. I won't claim to have been the ideal source to fulfill this longing, nor do I assert that it was a brilliant notion to subject your esteemed ears to it. Nevertheless, in my own context back then, I was content, fancied a giggle, hoped they might help the message along (if they did not, I accept my failure sorrowfully) and simply decided, “(if the wife never finds out,) why not”.
Maybe there should be a karaoke TikTok to satiate this desire (maybe I should have researched this first 🤔), but I sang and then the Weegie (Glasgwegian) Gerry Cinnamon popped into my life – I was delighted on many fronts. There is no need for a finale song from me, but one may hope for a few bonus sing-songs along the journey.
Please enjoy these blinders from someone that has extreme talent in this domain - a couple of favourites are below, but his full catalogue is well worth a listen.
Linked to the brief note on the target audience, particularly young single men and women - you may deduce why. When on the sauce recently with two amazing people I am honoured to call friends, I was asked, “What do you do?” by a few lovely young (male and female) Scousers during a weekend in Liverpool (amazing city by the way) .
Foo’ay beans, I responded something like, “Do you want to know what I do for money and my professional title, or do you want to know what I am working on or what I want to work on?”. They answered the latter. Note, if anyone answered the former, I was quite prepared to save some time, be rude and say, “Cheery-bye!” (probably a little less politely).
I flat out answered, “I am working on a project to unite humanity”. The response was gob-smacking surprise, utter delight and very hearty well-wishing.
I also received the first inquiry into what an outcome could be. I launched into an anecdote describing one potential eventuality (which is linked to a previous mini-series episode which I would be happy to discuss). The eventuality could be transferred to another symbol of trust backed by allegory. The anecdote culminated in hairs standing on end and must have made an impression, as when I looked down they had presented their phone to receive my number and said, “I can fly into [a nearby airport]”… to meet ME?!
“Tactic” 😘💙
I told them I was married and we had a proper giggle. I am not averse to new compatible pals and should have connected or at least given my Substack handle – grrr…. brain-on-the-sauce!!
The genesis of the term 'shindig' within the context of the Deep Trust Journey holds a tale that's both personal and cosmic.
I had been immersing myself in Alan Watts' talks and his chat on the word dig (to get deep) resonated. I was searching for words to encapsulate the essence of the DTJ experience and the DTJ name is a bit, I dunno… a bit keech (or enter your own adjective).
After meditating trying to connect with aliens / angels out the back door one starry night, as you do (as per Dr Steven Greer’s work. His documentary The Lost Century: And How to Reclaim It (IMDB trailer) is arguably a must watch and he has appeared on the Paul Ryan Show (YouTube) a couple of times too. Rabbit hole warning (it is debatable that ma fluffy tail’s still showing! 🐇)) after the bairn was in his bed and when I tried to manoeuvre to my nest in the darkness, I walked into my bed-frame a dillion and cut open both my shins.
This incident seemed like a serendipitous cosmic nudge, suggesting that to dig could manifest as an internal or external dance. The huge desire to dance or celebrate more, combined with the word 'shindig,' merged seamlessly into a term that embodies the journey of inner exploration and shared reality. Thus, 'Our Shindig' was born, connecting the personal, the profound, and the playful into one holistic concept.
