War in Ukraine People Displacement; Compassionate Integration; and Culture
Value Life (VL) Mini-series Episode 08
Dear Honest Men and Bonnie Lassies,
I feel great admiration and gratitude to those that sacrificed their lives for the freedom et al. we enjoy today in the so-called West. Taking a small moment on Friday the 11th November 2022 to remember and be able to offer thanks to the fallen means everything. Lest we forget.
Please permit me some housekeeping this week to address some much appreciated feedback from an Honest Man.
The VL Nnewsletter and mini-series episodes is unequivocally NOT a news report, nor are we attempting to be one. There are more directly informed and dedicated resources (and I have shared a fair few) doing some courageous work on many fronts in this domain.
The VL mini-series and accompanying newsletter is taking inspiration from Ukrainian freedom fighters, history and current affairs in general (where pertinent) and attemtping to tie-in to the Value Life narrative to promote our core values which, are, as we stated upfront: Freedom, Acceptance, Culture and Trust (#FACT). I plan on mentioning this again in the next episode so please stay tuned.
In this weeks VL Mini-series Episode 08 (<13m), we discuss (in brief):
mass people displacements due to the war in Ukraine;
(@7m 30s) a proposal for a part of a compassionate integration program; and
(@9m 45s) one of our core values - culture (and @11m 25s is our wee inspirational tune - The Sultans of Swing1).
I hope you enjoy!
Here are references and citations for this week2.
I do apologise if anything seems cryptic or unclear (like the changed lyrics of the Sultans of Swing - if we get to it, it should be quite fun). I hope to bring it together (to some degree đ) as the mini-series draws to a close. The intent is to make the final 2 episodes (more đĽ¸) sharable. As always any questions or feedback is welcome!
If you are interested, please see some more related references3 following our newsletter last week and mini-eposide on COVID-19 released last week.
Enjoy your weekend and be brave all!

The Everyday Ghandiâs encounter with Christian Bethelson relayed (in this post from
