‘Written By The Sea’, 2023 Oct.
Daniel Ho
✱ Album Link: Written By the Sea
A collection of fascinating stories written by the seaside, as well as beautiful adventures created by the vast sea.
Inspired by the concept album from the children’s documentary series “Written By The Sea.”
Grammy Award winner Daniel Ho and Golden Melody Award producer Wu Judy Chin-Tai collaborate hand in hand.
Taiwan’s award-winning musicians join forces, composing a musical chapter that spans across the Pacific Ocean.
“Composing the score for the ‘By the Sea’ documentary was emotionally and musically expansive. Material I typically pen is inspired by the scope of my experiences, and this project exhilaratingly brought me back to my music school beginnings in film scoring and arranging. Set in Taiwan, the compositions were inspired by breathtaking footage of sea life, sailing, swimming, surfing, and sunny shores.” — Daniel Ho
Daniel Ho’s philosophy of seeing a note through from beginning to end encompasses six GRAMMY Awards, twelve GRAMMY nominations, six Taiwanese Golden Melody Awards, multiple Hawaiian music accolades, a genre-crossing discography, and a host of proudly designed instruments. Always creating and looking to the future, Daniel’s goal is to turn heads and capture hearts, one note at a time.
‘LIVE from TMC 4F Rehearsal Room’, 2023 Nov.
The Tic Tac
✱ Album Link: LIVE from TMC 4F Rehearsal Room
Featuring two live performance songs, one in Chinese and the other in Taiwanese.
Capture the vibrant energy of live performances for those who haven't had the chance to rock with the band, providing an immersive experience to feel the music's intensity.
“For us, a musical piece consists of three essential elements — one-third lies in composition, another third in production, and the final third in live performance. These songs, during each performance, take on an organic quality.” — The Tic Tac
The Tic Tac was formed in 2008, with Fuzz Pop as its main genre, incorporating elements of Indie Pop and adding a plethora of distortion effects. The musical works exhibit a texture akin to film, with edges and particles. Songwriting originates from a personal perspective, documenting and interpreting various facets of life from the observer’s standpoint. It’s like capturing the reality of moments through a lens and film reel, portraying fragments of truth and imagination, projecting perspectives onto the world.

All You Want to Say (Xmas eve)
The Tic Tac, 2023 December
✱ Album Link: All You Want to Say (Xmas eve)
Fuzz-Pop band The Tic Tac’s brand new single at the end of 2023 .
A non-traditional Christmas dirge interwoven with a sense of detachment.
“To those of us who have chosen separation, Merry Christmas.”
Folk-rock band The Tic Tac continues to depict various subtle nuances of characters and emotions in the city through their songs, ranging from urban white-collar life snippets to delicate emotions, resembling short stories with a touch of magic. The entire song gradually builds from quiet whispers, with the female and male vocals echoing each other yet branching into tiny divergences. The concluding instrumental section weaves distorted electric guitar and strings, creating a festive scene that is both dreamy and chaotic, splendid yet heart-wrenching. It’s as if, in what should be a joyous moment, they compose a Christmas dirge dedicated to love.
