My idea of a balanced breakfast.

Freddo espresso for the edge, watermelon juice for brightness, a slab of cake for the soul, and yogurt with honey just to pretend it’s all under control.

Greek island mornings really do it better.

Still wrapped in London layers, but my mind is on this beach in Sardinia and a pistachio filled sfogliatella (my favourite Italian dolci).

Crispy, creamy, and best eaten with sand between your toes.

Had a moment today where I wondered:

Would anyone read a 800-word story about a bowl of noodles I ate five years ago in Shanghai?

No recipe. No list. Just a meal I haven’t been able to forget.

Then I remembered… I would.

And maybe that’s reason enough to write it.
