Why does it hit different when affluent/successful person starts a paid newsletter on here? I know TikTok and instagram all offer a paid subscription option, I guess it’s that subconscious weird Substack purity kicking in. Why has this platform conditioned me to think of them as somehow morally superior or an actual artist-centric space.
