One of my goals at the beginning of this year was to hit 1,000 subscribers. Now, I couldn’t care less.
After a decade of working in digital media, I am tired of chasing visibility and vanity metrics. I am sick of our creativity and humanity being reduced to graphs and leaderboards. I am bored of Content. I just want to forget the algorithm, not hack it.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely when a post gets lots of attention—but less so when you’re trying to replicate that high.
